And the angel of the LORD
appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of
valour. (Judges
6:12). You
are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! You are blessed and highly
favoured! You are bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus! You are the
apple of God’s eye! You are wonderfully and fearfully made!
When
these are your mindset, you will have nothing to do with inferiority complex.
You will never be depressed for a day. You will never have a bad day when you
realize this. Beloved, see yourself the right way; from the eyes of Father God
not from the eyes of people or your circumstances. When the Angel met Gideon
and addressed him as mighty man of valour,
Gideon wondered whether it was him the Angel was talking to. He looked at
himself and didn’t see anything mighty about himself. In fact he was in a place,
hiding from the army of Midian when the angel came to him, he was from one of
the least tribe in the nation, and the smallest in his own family. When Moses
encountered God, he didn’t see himself as qualified to lead the exodus out of
Egypt. “And Moses said unto the LORD, O
my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto
thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” (Exodus 4:10).
These
men and more didn’t see themselves as fit for the assignment but God still used
them. He doesn’t choose the qualified; He qualifies the chosen. There is
something God sees about you. You need to start seeing yourself from that
perspective if you will reign over circumstances of life. God sees who you are created to be and not who you already are. So see what you can become and not what you already are. How you see yourself is what you eventually become. If you see a failure, you will remain a failure but if you see a sucees even in the midst of failure, one way or the other, you will find yourself out of failure, with time.
