LIGHT FROM THE WORD

"The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." (Psalms 119:130). Whenever the Word of God is released and it enters you, the first thing it does is to lighten up your spirit and spread to other parts of your being; your soul and body. You know what happens whenever light is introduced to a place; darkness gives way, the works of evil are exposed, you clearly see bad things to avoid and good things to take advantage of. This is what the Word does. When it was introduced in the beginning when the earth without form and void, the first thing that happened was that light came.

Let’s look at some attributes of light so we know what it does in us. Light carries illumination. This attribute means that light expels darkness. Whenever light enters, darkness and its entire works thereof take to their heels. Light carries speed. We know that light travels very fast; about 3x10⁸ miles/sec. So when it enters your life, it gives you speed in every area till you overtake those who started before you in blessings and achievements.

If you have been joking with the word of God, you are lacking light. That is why your life is not making progress. That is why the works of darkness are manifest in your life. Introduce the Word by constant study and illuminate your life. It will amaze you the transformation you will notice. Isaiah 9:8 says, “The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.”
