Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven. (Matthew
5:16). There
is a story told of two men that went to God in prayer and were in different
needs. Both of them were kneeling close to each other on the altar. One man was
praying, “Father, there is this contract of hundred million naira that I have
been pursuing. Please give it to me.” The other man told God, “Lord if you can
give me ten thousand naira for my children’s school fees, I will be grateful,”
and he was talking loud. After a while, the first man stopped his own prayer
and looked at the second man. Then he opened his wallet and brought out ten
thousand naira and dropped it in front of the man. Then he touched the man,
pointed at the money and told him, “God has answered your prayer, now you can
go let me concentrate.” The second man took the money and left joyfully.
Most
times, God does not throw down answers from heaven. He uses men to solve other
people’s problems. Beloved, you are an answer to someone’s prayer. You have
something that someone needs, something you could bless others with. The day
you realize this, your life will take a new turn for the better. Some have need
of jobs and you are in a position to connect them to job opportunities; some
are in need of being counseled and guided and you have the time and ability to
do that; when you are able to help others, please do so. When your light shines
before men, they will glorify your God. If it is an unbeliever that you bless,
he or she may want to follow you to your church and serve your God. That way,
you will be bringing souls into the kingdom. God also has needs. In Ezekiel 22:
30, God said, “And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge,
and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but
I found none.” Be an answer to God’s need! Be an
answer to the needs of people around you! Be a solution today!
