FED UP!

(...continued...)

“He said you stopped picking his calls and that you said you are fed up with him.”
Tears rolled down  Mabel’s eye.
“Is that what he is saying?” Mabel asked.
“He must be crazy,” Cynthia said. “He is very lucky he is not dealing with me.”
  “Tell me exactly what happened.”
“Kai. Segun segun.” Mabel lamented. “Na wa o.”
“I didn’t believe him so I asked some other people. That was when they told me exactly what happened. Do you mind telling me?”
                Mabel kept quiet.
“If you are not ready to tell me, I will not push it.”
“I will tell you. Let’s see the doctor first.”
  “Ok.”
“Mabel why not tell her now,” Cynthia said. “You know you have to see Mrs Biodun in about two hours from now, so you don’t waste more time.”
“No. if she doesn’t feel like talking about it, it is okay.”
“You need to hear it so you will have the correct version and help us confront that animal.”
“I understand how angry you are but he is still my cousin o.”
“Your cousin that made my sister almost commit suicide. If not that I met her on time, we would be telling another story now.”
“What!” Margret exclaimed and almost hit the vehicle in front of her.
“Now you know why I am as angry as I am now. If I meet him, it will embarrass him.”
“Eiyaa. Mabel tell me what happened na, let me know how to deal with the matter. Remember, I was the one who introduced him to you. I feel I am responsible for all this mess. Let me help you clean it up okay.”
Mabel sighed and told her what happened. By the time she was done, they were close to the hospital.
“I can’t believe that Segun did that to you,” Margret said.
  “He did o,” Mabel replied.
  “I will handle this myself.”
“Mabel, let me see your face,” Cynthia said to Mabel.
                Mabel turned.
“Your eyes are red. Your make up is messed up.”
“I have my mini makeup kit here.”
Mabel asked Margret to park before driving into the premises. She brought out her makeup kit and worked on her face.
“You are not going on a date o,” Cynthia told her when she was taking time.
“But she doesn’t need people asking her why she is looking bad.”
“My back is paining me again. Please hurry.”
Mabel quickly rounded up the makeup and asked Margret to drive in. she drove in and parked.
“I will wait until you are done,” Margret offered.
“You don’t have to do that,” Mabel said.
“I am not asking you. I am telling you.”
“Alright. Come in with us then.”

They went to Dr. Obinna’s office section.
