STARVE YOUR DOUBT

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (James 1:6). The next verses after our opening scripture says, “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (:7-8). It is clear from these verses that doubt stops faith from working and so stops the blessing you expect from God. To buttress this point further, Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." When you doubt, it means you are not sure God can do it for you or maybe He is unwilling to do it for you. It is a major resistance to the flow of what faith can get for you.

Beloved, no matter what circumstances say and how impossible it seems like what you are asking for or declaring will come to pass, host fast to your faith and confession. Anytime you entertain doubt, you lose. A way of starving your doubts is not to focus on the negative side of things. Instead of seeing the mountain, see the God bigger than the mountain; instead of seeing giant goliath, see The Lord of Host mighty to save as David did. Remember what He has done for you in the past and what He has done for others who have testified and be rest assured that if God did it before, He will surely do it again.
